On a weekly basis, Kevin leads the Basingstoke Irish Set Dancers, taking dancers through sets in a friendly and supportive way assisted by Carol, and friends Sue and Jim Crick, who deputise when Kevin is absent. Dancers from nearby towns regularly attend, building bonds and forging new friendships. As well as weekly classes and organising bi-annual events, Kevin and Carol teach at workshops across the world. To date, they have taught in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland and USA, as well as in the UK. Kevin and Carol have been regulars at Chippenham and Sidmouth Folk festivals in England and have been booked to bring their relaxed and graceful style to wedding receptions and other events.

With Irish Set Dancing now formally recognised as part of Ireland’s intangible cultural heritage, they hope they can continue to bring the joy of sets to a wider audience as the importance of this form of dance is brought to a new audience.
